Hi guys, welcome to my site! Last week on 26th August 2017, I have been invited by leading fashion jewelry brand, Shinju Pearl for Blogger’s Day Event at Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya. More than 30 top bloggers and VIPs attend the joyous event, officiated by the musician extraordinaire Dato’ Zainal Abidin and other artists. This event happened regarding the opening of new Shinju Pearl's outlet at Paradigm Mall. #EatPearlLove becomes the theme for the event, in addition to the purple color as the color of choice. It was a very warm welcome by Christina Toh, the founder of Shinju Pearl herself.
Known for quality, versatile and contemporary designs, plus affordable pricing, Shinju Pearl has managed to develop a fairly large fan base in the past decade. It's another way of effort to reach the mass public by organizing a Bloggers' day to introduce and inform jewelry lovers that they are not just a pearl company selling ready products. The name Shinju comes from a direct translation of the word “pearl” in Japanese, Korean and Mandarin, and was chosen to reflect the company’s professional trade.
The brand thrives in transforming your heirloom jewelry into an updated fresh new look. Showcasing arrays of new jewelry findings, “We offer very personal service to customers need and able to provide professional jewelry services with 3D drawing offering custom made fine jewelry with 925 silver, 9k or 18k gold even certified GIA diamonds”, said Christina Toh, the founder and CEO of Whinju Pearls. “Shinju hopes to become one of the major players in the gems and jewelry sector. As such, we will continue to bring in new ideas and designs for our customers” she adds.
Shinju Pearl first began in 2004 when former property executives, Christina Toh, ventured into jewelry design almost by accident. She had a penchant for beautiful jewelry, and after helping her sister sell antiques at Mont Kiara’s weekly market, she started experimenting by creating unique and elegant jewelry pieces, mixing semi-precious stones and pearls. Her designs were well-received by fashionistas, homemakers, working women and jewelry fans of all ages, who seemed to snap up her lovely creations from the get-go.
Inspired by her success, she started creating more and more designs using beaded semi-precious jewelry. She traversed the learning curve at an exponential rate, constantly learning and improving her craft, and making new strides each day. In 2006, Christina took a leap of faith. Shinju Pearl charted its first milestone that year by opening its first outlet in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle at Lot 10 Shopping Centre. In the same year, Christina and her younger sister, Diana, teamed up to embark on an organic expansion plan for the business and the brand.
Together, they managed both retail and operations of the company, while spearheading design efforts by conceptualizing new collections, giving valuable input and attention to detail in every item produced. New designs were launched every two months. Originally, designs and themes were pulled almost out of thin air, but as the company progressed, more emphasis was placed on prevailing trends and fashion forecasts before new collections are produced, to accommodate a wide range of tastes across different markets.
Dato’ Zainal Abidin, Malaysian renowned world music artist famous for his songs to humanity, environment and social issues is also an avid fan of Shinju Pearls. He said, there is no wrong for men to wear accessories for the daily wear besides always playing on the safe side like wearing black and white color shirt. Nowadays, men also wear the pink color of shirt, right? Singing the ultimate hit song “Hijau”, the floor roared with endless applause. Located at Lot GF-28 on the ground floor, the event filled the mall’s atmosphere with full of entertainment by artists Salma Mentor, Reyhana Yunus, Ayu Damit, Thalia Mentor, Sara Mentor, Tati TOPS and the list go on. Decked in Shinju’s latest popular line of jewelry, fans are in awed by stunning designs.

After the performances, there are fashion show, lucky draw session and jewelry making demo. We also had a one to one session with Christina and saw how she demonstrate the making of the jewelry. If you have a faulty or broken jewelry, you can visit Shinju Pearls for a jewelry repair. The cost will ultimately depend on the material, length and condition of your piece as well as what repairs want to get done.
Over the years, Shinju Pearl has garnered a faithful following and a significant clientele. In 2009, Shinju Pearl increased its retail presence by opening its second boutique at the Great Eastern Mall on Jalan Ampang. Today, Shinju Pearl has 10 outlets including stand-alone counters, located in various popular shopping malls around the Klang Valley. Each store has its own unique concept and is stocked with a good range of customized jewelry, endorsed with certificates of authenticity.
